Dr. Barry M. Gaffney and Dr. Jeremy H. Dr. Barry M. Gaffney was born and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He attended Hillsborough High School, graduating in 1969. In 1971, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from St. Petersburg Junior College in Clearwater, Florida.

Dr. Barry Gaffney received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and then attended the School of Optometry at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Barry Gaffney offers visual and ocular health services, with a special emphasis in the area of contact lenses. Dr. Barry Gaffney has offered quality eye care to the residents of Plant City for more than 30 years.

Dr. Jeremy H. Gaffney, O.D.

Dr. Jeremy H. Gaffney was born and raised in Plant City, Florida. He graduated from Tampa Jesuit High School and attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in International Business, Dr. Jeremy Gaffney decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and entered the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Jeremy Gaffney graduated from optometry school in May 2011 and joined the Gaffney Eye Clinic in June 2011. 

Dr. Jeremy Gaffney specializes in medical and comprehensive optometry and accepts patients ages 4 years and up. In October 2011, Dr. Jeremy Gaffney opened the Dry Eye Center of Central Florida, located within the Gaffney Eye Clinic, to bring awareness and treatment to patients suffering from Dry Eye Disease. 

Dr. Jeremy Gaffney is licensed to practice optometry in Florida and Alabama, and is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Alabama Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists. He is also a member of the Plant City Rotary Club.

Dr. Richard S. Hamilton has an outstanding educational background:

Internship: University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, Colorado

Opthamology Residency: Doheny Eye Institute/Univeristy of Southern California, Los Angeles, California

Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellowship: Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

He has been honored by his collegaues as Board Certified, American Board of Opthamology.

Dr. Hamilton resides in Lakeland, Florida and is an active member in the community.
